At the press conference marking the first year anniversary of the re-elected governor Won Heeryong, he expressed his will to proceed constructions of the island's second airport unless the construction plan has a critical flaw.

He stressed that his office will make up for holes of the rental car quota system and the parking proof requirement policy for full implementation.

Governor Won Heeryong says that his office will proceed with the construction of the island's second airport to boost the local economy and balance the island’s development.

At a press conference on the first year anniversary of the re-elected governor, he stressed that he will proceed with the creation of the island's second airport unless a critical flaw is uncovered in the construction plan, like potential serious damage to (오름) oreum or inclusion of the construction of a military airport in the second airport creation plan.

Won said that the province will consult with Seoul on the island's concerns and requests and have an open discussion with residents over the new airport before the new airport creation basic plan is released in October this year.

On the blockchain industrial zone the governor has ambitiously planned to create, he says there is still a possibility to have the zone on the island even though Seoul hasn't approved the plan as it is negative on the introduction of cryptocurrency.
