Jeju ranked lowest among 17 cities and provinces nationwide

Jeju was found to have the lowest population ratio in the country where people can secure a private garage within a kilometer of their residence.

According to a report issued last year by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s National Geographic Information Institute, only 13.4% of islanders have access to private parking spaces within a kilometer radius of their residence. Jeju ranked the lowest among 17 cities and provinces nationwide.

It found that 24.7% of Seogwipo City residents and 2.1% of Jeju City residents can secure nearby parking lots for personal use.
