Completed impact assessment study to guide implementation

The provincial government is implementing a system to manage the relocation and expansion of the island’s casinos.

The province have recently finished a study to establish a casino impact assessment system.

Full marks on the assessment are 1,000. The criteria of impact on local society takes 500 points and contribution to community and opinions of local residents take 200 and 300 points, respectively.
To pass the assessment, casinos need to get more than a total of 800 marks.

The province is planning on establishing an execution plan for introducing the assessment system and on creating implementation ordinances and regulations.
