4. Grouting method improves local groundwater quality
Province to invest ?\300M to expand grouting to 6 water wells

A grouting method, which blocks groundwater contaminants is showing effects.

The provincial government surveyed two underground water wells in Hankyung-myeon and Hallim-eup that applied grouting technology last year. It found that nitrate nitrogen concentration was 38 percent lower than before it was used.

The province plans to spend 300 million won this year to expand grouting application to six underground water wells with high nitrate nitrogen levels in Hallim.

Grouting is a method of blocking the passage of contaminants along the underground water line.

한림지역 지하수관정 6개소에
그라우팅 공법을 확대할 계획입니다.

그라우팅 공법은
지하수 관정을 따라 유입되는
오염물질의 중간 통로를 차단하는 방식입니다.
