Province accepts requests from opposition groups of the project

The province has accepted requests from groups opposing the construction project of the island’s second airport to hold a public debate on the new airport.

Local officials said that they received an official letter from the opposition groups demanding a public debate and an examination of Adpi report contents with officials from the Adpi. Local officials and the opposing parties held a working level discussion to set agendas of the public debate.

Once the agendas are finalized, an open forum will be held in next month after Governor Won Hee-ryong has a meeting with the opposing parties.

지난 8일 반대측으로부터 토론회 개최를 요구하는 공문을
접수하고
지난 주 범도민행동과 성산읍반대위 관계자들과
실무 협의를 진행했다고 밝혔습니다.

실무 의제가 확정되면
이달 말, 원희룡 지사와 반대측의 면담에 이어
다음 달 쯤 공개토론회가 개최될 예정이라고
설명했습니다.

제2공항 반대 범도민행동과, 성산읍반대위는
제2공항 의혹에 대한 공개토론회와
Adpi 관계자가 참여하는 검증을
제주도에 요구했습니다.
