3. Wife of Japanese Consul caught for DUI
Offender causes car accident with BAC of 0.125%

The wife of the chief consul of the local Consulate-General of Japan has been booked without detention by police after causing a car accident while intoxicated and attempting to flee the scene.

Jeju Seobu Police said that she crashed into another car near Halla Arboretum in Jeju City while driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.125%. She attempted to flee the scene, but was stopped by the accident victim about 500 meters away.

According to investigators, she has admitted to all the charges.

기소의견으로 검찰에 불구속 송치했습니다.

경찰에 따르면
A 씨는 지난 5월 27일
제주시 연동 한라수목원 인근 도로에서
혈중알코올농도 0.125%의 만취 상태로 운전을 하다 사고를 내고
500m 가량 도주하다 피해차량 운전자에게 붙잡혔습니다.

A씨는 경찰 조사에서
모든 혐의를 인정한 것으로 알려졌습니다.
