4. Jeju City launches garbage collection campaign at Iho Tewoo Beach
Participants to receive drinks based on amount of trash retrieved

Jeju City is launching a garbage collection campaign at Iho Tewoo Beach.

The campaign will provide free water and drinks to beachgoers who bring trash back to a booth installed on the site.

Using a standard 20-liter garbage bag, the campaign will award participants with a bottle of water for a one-third full bag, a vitamin drink for a half-full bag, and an outdoor mat for a full bag of collected trash.

Jeju City will conduct the pilot run until August 15th and expand the campaign to other beaches from next year.

제주시가 이호테우해수욕장에서
쓰레기 되가져오기 캠페인을 실시합니다.

이번 캠페인은
해수욕장 이용객들이
현장에 설치된 부스로 쓰레기를 가져오면
물과 음료수를 제공하는 방식으로 진행됩니다.

20리터 종량제 봉투를 기준으로
3분의 1을 채우면 삼다수 1개,
절반을 채우면 비타민 음료 1개,
완전히 다 채우면 야외용 돗자리 등을 지급할 계획입니다.

제주시는 다음 달 15일까지
시범적으로 캠페인을 진행한 뒤
내년부터 다른 해수욕장으로 확대할 예정입니다.
