4. Local companies’ exports plunge by 52%
Huge fall in electronics and machinery exports lead the drop

Local exports have dropped significantly.

According to the Jeju branch of the Korea International Trade Association, local exports amounted to 10 million USD last month, marking a 52 percent plunge from that of last year. The cumulative value of exports also fell by 25 percent to $66 million through last month.

This year’s export quantity also dropped by 33 percent from 27 million to 18 million units from last year.

The Korea International Trade Association analyzed that the local exports plunged due to huge drops in its main exports such as electronics and machinery by 41 and 54 percent, respectively.

제주도내 기업 수출 실적이 크게 악화됐습니다.

한국 무역협회 제주지부에 따르면
지난 달 제주지역 수출액은 1천 만달러로
전년 대비 52% 급감했고
지난달까지 누적 수출액도 6천 6백만 달러로 25% 감소했습니다.

수출물량도
지난해 2천 7백만 개에서
올해 1천 8백만 개로 33% 줄었습니다.

무역협회는
주력 수출업종인 전자전기와 기계류 수출액이
각각 41%, 54% 줄면서
수출실적도 나빠진 것으로 분석하고 있습니다.
