Land compensation to start 2021

Public land in Hwabuk-dong, Jeju City will be developed.

The provincial government said that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has redesignated land that was formerly a city park in Hwabuk-dong, Jeju City, for use in the construction of public housing.

60 percent out of 320,000 square meters of land in the eastern side of the park will be used to facilitate 1,700 public housing units. A small park will be created at the remaining 120,000 square meters of land.

Korea Land & Housing Corporation has been selected as the developer of the construction project. Officials plan to start the process of land compensation from 2021 and finish the project by 2026.

화북동에 '공공택지' 조성…1천 7백 세대 공급

제주시 화북동에 소규모 공공 택지가 조성됩니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
국토교통부는
도시공원 일몰제 해소방안으로
제주시 화북동 동부공원 일대를
공공지원 민간 임대주택 공급촉진지구로 지정했습니다.

이에 따라
동부공원 일대 32만 여 제곱미터 가운데
60%인 20만 제곱미터에
1천 7백 세대 규모의 임대주택이 지어지며
나머지 12만 여 제곱미터는 공원으로 조성됩니다.

사업시행자는 LH이며
2021년부터 토지 보상에 착수한 뒤
2026년 쯤 사업을 마무리할 계획입니다.
