Gross sales index drops by 9.6% in June

Sales at large retailers in Jeju dropped significantly in June.

The Honam Regional Statistics Office says the gross sales index at large retailers in June was 91.2, marking a 9.6 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.

Sales of clothing, footwear and bags dropped by more than 20 percent, and sales of recreational goods also fell.

The gross sales index for large retailers in Jeju has been on a constant downward slope since the beginning of this year.

지난 6월 제주지역 대형소매점 판매액지수는 91.2로
지난해 같은 기간보다 9.6% 줄었습니다.

상품군별로 보면
신발과 가방, 의복에서 20% 이상의 감소세를 보였고
오락취미,
경기용품 판매도 줄어든 것으로 나타났습니다.

한편,
제주지역 대형소매점 판매액지수는
올들어 계속 마이너스 성장을 기록하고 있습니다.
