2. Provincial council members criticize Japan’s export regulations
Protests against Japan’s retaliatory measures to continue

In related news, provincial councilors of the Democratic Party of Korea criticized Japan’s export regulations against Korea.

They held a press conference in front of the provincial council building on Monday and condemned Japan's hostile measures against Korea.

Council members called for an apology from Tokyo for its past actions during the Japanese colonial era and an end to economic retaliation. They said Japan has ignored the truth of its past and aggravated relations between the two countries.

They will protest in front of the Japanese Consulate General and form a special committee or a task force team within the provincial council to prepare measures to cope with the new stringent export regulations.

더불어민주당 소속 제주도의회 의원들이 규탄하고 나섰습니다.

5일 도의회 의사당 앞에서 기자회견을 열고
일본이
대한민국에 대한 적대적인 조치를 감행해
패권국가로 가기 위한 야욕을 드러냈다며 유감을 표했습니다.

특히 일본은 과거 침략전쟁의 진실을 외면하고
반성은 커녕
양국관계를 파국으로 치닫게 했다며
일본 정부의 사과와 함께 경제보복 중단을 촉구했습니다.

그러면서 도의원들은 앞으로
도의회 내 특별위원회 또는 태스크포스팀을 구성해
수출규제에 대한 대응방안을 마련하고
주제주일본국총영사관 앞에서 항의 시위도 이어나가기로 했습니다.
