People are finding ways to keep themselves cool in the island after excessive heat warnings have been issued for some regions of the island and the high night-time temperatures make for sleepless nights.

At (곽지) Gwakji in (애월읍) Aewol-eup, Jeju City, thousands of people pack the beach.

Cool fresh water coming from Halla mountain is the best part of the beach.
At the open-air spring water baths, vacationers enjoy the icy refreshment.
The underground water is freezing cold and people can only stand it for a short time.
Young children happily scream from the nearby fountain.
Families stroll around the fountain and springs enjoying the icy water.
[slug] Hallim-eup, Jeju City
At an ice cube making plant in (한림읍) Hallim-eup, Jeju City water comes out of the taps from the ceiling and hundreds of ice cubes drop.
The ice cubes are delivered to refrigerated storage.
The fridge is full of the ice.
While it is scorching outside, inside the ice plant it is freezing..
