The rainy season for this summer is shorter than average, but rainfall was more than the average year.

According to the Jeju branch of the Korea Meteorological Administration, this year’s rainy season in Jeju started on June 26th which is 7 days later than average rainy season starting date and finished on July 19th.

The duration of this rainy season was 8 days less than average. Also, the number of days with precipitation was 13.5 days, 4.8 days less than average.

However, the rainfall recorded 475.3 mm during the season which is 76.7 mm more than average year.

제주지방기상청에 따르면
올해 제주도 장마는
평년보다 일주일 가량 늦은 6월 26일에 시작해
7월 19일까지 24일동안 이어졌습니다.

이는 평년보다 8일 짧은 것으로
장마 기간 강수일수도 13.5일로 평년보다 4.8일 적었습니다.

반면
강수량은 475.3㎜를 기록해
평년보다 76.7mm 많았던 것으로 분석됐습니다.
