Anti-japanese sentiment for Japan’s export restrictions is growing in Jeju.
Relay picketing continues and local merchants are joining the boycott.

At a pharmacy in (아라동) Ara-dong, Jeju City, a poster is displayed saying, “We can help you find Korean alternatives to Japanese medicine”.

Stacked inside are medicinal products made in Japan or made of ingredients imported from the island country.
[slug] Protest continues in front of Japanese Consulate General
In front of the Japanese Consulate General in Jeju, relay picketing has been ongoing.
Even though it’s scorching hot outside, citizens of all ages have joined the protest against Japan.
[slug] Islanders boycott Japanese goods across the island
Local merchants are also boycotting Japanese products.
A small supermarket in (하귀) Hagwi and a raw fish restaurant in (성산) Seongsan have declared that they would not sell Japanese products.
A car dealership in (화북동) Hwabuk-dong, Jeju City hung a banner saying the shop joins the boycott.

The anti-Japanese sentiment and the boycott of Japanese goods is not expected to abate any time soon.
