4. Province sets allowable turban shell catch to 1,788 tons
70% of Conch produce assigned for exports

The province set allowable catch for conches at 1,788 tons through next June to protect local conch population. The quota has been allocated to six local branches of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives.

30 percent of the amount has been allocated for domestic consumption and the rest will be exported to Japan and other countries.

This year, the unit price for conches is 3,300 won per kilogram, which is a 200 won increase compared to the previous year.

1천 788톤으로 결정됐습니다.

제주도는 소라 자원 보호를 위해
내년 6월까지 1년치 허용어획량을 1,788톤으로 정하고
도내 6개 수협 어촌계에
할당량을 배분했습니다.

전체의 30%인 530여 톤은
소라 소비 촉진을 위한 내수용으로 배정됐고
나머지는 일본 등에 수출됩니다.

올해 소라 위판 단가는
1kg에 3천 3백원으로 전년보다 2백원 올랐습니다.
