5. Elementary school for Jeju Science Park 'uncertain'
Only 100 students reside in the district

Jeju Science Park still has too few number of households to establish an elementary school within the district.

According to the Jeju Free International City Development Center, JSP will only meet half the requirement of 4,000 households to establish an elementary school in the district even after apartments planned for 2022 are completed.

Currently, there are 590 households and less than 100 students residing in JSP. The students are attending the nearby Yeongpyeong Elementary School.

현재 추진중인 제2 첨단과학기술단지에
공동주택이 들어서도
최대 2천 세대에 그쳐
초등학교 신설 기준인 4천 세대를 채우지 못합니다.

현재 제주첨단과학기술단지 아파트는
590세대에 학생 수는 100명 미만으로
인근 영평초등학교에 재학하고 있습니다.
