3. Seogwipo City exhausts budget for private parking spaces
Municipal officials hold all applications for subsidy

Seogwipo Municipal Office has put all subsidy applications to secure private parking spaces on hold. The office had secured 300 million won to support its residents to secure private garages. However, its budget has all been exhausted.

The city officials failed to secure extra budgets for the project.

The province had fully launched the parking proof requirement regulations last month. Since then, islanders have been required to secure a private parking space.

자기 차고지 갖기 사업이 추진되고 있지만
벌써부터 예산이 바닥나
정책 추진에 혼선은 물론 시민들이 불편을 겪고 있습니다.

서귀포시는
올해 자기차고기갖기 사업으로 3억원을 확보했지만 모두 소진돼
이달 초부터 사업신청을 받지 못하고 있습니다.

지난달부터
차고지증명제의 확대 시행으로
자기 차고지 갖기 사업이 몰릴 것으로 예상됐지만
행정에서 안일하게 대처한게 아니냐는 지적입니다.

특히 서귀포시는
자기차고지 갖기 사업에 따른 2차 추경에서
단 한푼의 예산도 확보하지 못한 것으로 나타났습니다.
