5. Jeju to send 2 teams to national 'happy village' contest
20 teams will be judged on Aug. 28 in Daejeon

Gwideok 1-ri in Hallim-eup and Waheul-ri in Jocheon-eup will compete in a contest to create happy villages organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Gwideok 1-ri and Waheul-ri were each selected through screening and an on-site evaluation by the province. Gwideok 1-ri will compete in the culture & welfare sector and Waheul-ri will enter into landscape & environment competition sector.

A total of 20 villages will join the contest at Daejeon on August 28th. The final results will be announced on the same day.

Last year, Geumneung-ri in Hallim-eup won a bronze medal for culture and welfare sector. Yongheung-ri in Aewol-eup also received a prize for beautiful agricultural village sector.

제6회 행복마을만들기 중앙콘테스트에 참가합니다.

제주도의 심사와 현장평가를 거쳐
문화.복지분야와
경관.환경분야에 각각 선정돼 출전하게 된 것입니다.

중앙콘테스트는 전국 20개 팀이 참가한 가운데
오는 28일 대전에서 진행되며 당일 최종 결과가 발표됩니다.

지난해 콘테스트에서
한립읍 금능리가 문화.복지분야에서 동상,
애월읍 용흥리가
아름다운 농촌만들기 분야에서 입선했습니다.
