3. JCCI and JTA ask province to lower traffic congestion charges
Groups request an adjustment of assessment criteria

The Jeju Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Jeju Tourism Association have proposed that the province reduce and change the timing on the traffic congestion charge planned from next year.

The groups said they cannot understand the same imposition criteria of the charges without considering the size, location and coefficient of trip generation rates of each of the facilities.

They asked the province to reassess the traffic inducement coefficient by considering the level of traffic congestion by location. They also recommended an expansion of programs to reduce the charges by reflecting the specific nature of the facilities by industry or business.

They proposed a readjustment of the implementation period in consideration of the sluggish economy as well.

이들 단체는 건의서를 통해
시설이나 규모, 위치, 유발계수 등
지역상황을 고려하지 않은 채
일괄적인 부과기준을 납득할 수 없다고 주장했습니다.

이에 따라 장소별 교통혼잡도 등을 종합적으로 고려해
교통유발계수를 재산정하고
업종이나
사업별로 시설의 특수성을 반영해
부담금 감축 프로그램의 확대를 요구했습니다.

특히 침체된 경제상황을 고려해 시행 시기 조정을 함께 건의했습니다.
