This week on Jeju: A to Z, Todd Thacker takes a brief look at a fun summer Saturday evening concert aimed at helping revitalize a part of downtown Jeju City.
If you’re a regular KCTV English News viewer, you’re sure to have noticed the upswing in summer festivals and music concerts. Jeju Island has an absolute bonanza of seasonal artistic and cultural events.
And what better venue than this beautiful island? From the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, which wrapped up last week, to the 2019 Sanjitmul Park Concert, organizers of these events try hard to make the most of the attractive natural and urban backdrops Jeju has to offer.
[Slug CG] Sanjitmul Park, Geonip-dong, Jeju City
Sanjitmul Park is near the coast in a vibrant and historical neighborhood of Jeju City. Contrast this with the new K-pop and up-and-coming musical acts and artists in the concert line-up, and you’ll see why the slogan is “Where the Old and New Meet!"
[Slug CG] Every Saturday night from 7 p.m. Venue and flea market opens at 6 p.m.
Hosted by the provincial government and organized by KCTV and the Jeju Tourism Organization, the Sanjitmul Park Concert begins at 7 p.m. every Saturday this month.
Look forward to performances by such acts as Kim Chang-wan and Shin Hyun-hee (김창완 x 신현희), Jang Pil-soon and Paul Kim (장필순 X 폴킴), among many others. The main lineup will include Jeju participants every week.
