4. Local construction expenditure suffers steepest decline
Number of construction companies increase

Last year’s local construction expenditure showed the steepest decline in the country.

According to the Statistics Korea, last year’s local construction expenditure dropped to about 4.92 trillion won, marking a 17 percent decrease from 5.96 trillion won in 2017. This was the steepest decline rate among 17 cities and provinces nationwide.

Meanwhile, the number of local construction companies increased by 4.9% from 1,865 to 1,957 companies, marking a higher increasing rate than the national average.

지난해 제주지역 건설 공사액이 전국에서
가장 큰 폭으로 감소한 것으로 나타났습니다.
통계청에 따르면 지난해 제주지역 건설공사액은 4조9천160억원으로, 전년도 5조9천580억원 대비 17% 줄었습니다.

이는 전국 17개 시·도 가운데 가장 높은 감소율입니다.

반면 제주지역 건설업체 수는 1957군데로
전년도 천865개보다 4.9% 늘어나면서 전국 평균 증가율을
웃돌았습니다
