An increasing number of Koreans have canceled their planned trip to Japan and are coming to Jeju.
Carriers are adding more flights on the route between the mainland and the island, while cutting down on flights servicing Japan.

The terminal of Jeju International Airport is packed with tourists and their luggage.
Even though this year's summer holiday season is coming to an end, visitors are crowding to Jeju.

As a part of a boycott on Japanese products, Koreans are canceling trips to Japan. Instead ,they are turning their eyes to Jeju.
Most of the rental cars have been booked.
The number of people visiting the island has increased this summer.
1.3 million visited Jeju in July, which is 5 percent higher than the corresponding month last year.
1.2 million came to the island in August. That's an 11 percent increase from a year before.
The number of visitors is expected to increase for the time being.

Airlines are cutting flights between Korea and Japan and increasing the number of flights between the mainland and Jeju.
One airline has cut the number of flights linking the two countries by more than 50 percent.

The Jeju tourism business is benefiting from the Japanese boycott and insiders hope the increasing trend in the number of visitors will continue.
