3. 54 groups push for Jeju Farmers' Allowance Act
Law includes giving monthly allowance of ￦100K per farmer

Some 54 organizations are carrying out a civic movement to enact the Jeju Farmers' Allowance Act.

The act includes a monthly allowance of 100,000 won per farmer.

A joint group of 54 local civic, social and farmers' organizations, held a press conference in front of the provincial government on Tuesday morning and stated its plan to gather 10,000 signatures from locals to enact the ordinance.

They stressed that farmers’ monthly allowances create public value and increase sustainability for both farming and rural communities.

농민수당 지원 조례 제정을 위한
주민발의 청구서명 1만 명을 받겠다고 밝혔습니다.

이들은
농민수당은 농업과 농촌의 공익적 가치를 창출하고
지속가능성을 높이는 정책이라고 강조했습니다.

이들이 마련한 농민수당 조례안에는
농민 1인당 월 10만원의 수당을 지급하는 내용을 골자로 하고 있습니다.
