Province’s plan to establish a new public enterprise faces setback

An ordinance to establish the Jeju Facility Management Corporation has been shelved again for this preliminary session.

Provincial Council Chairman Kim Tae-seoksaid that while the corporation is necessary, it may see losses of up to 60 billion won depending on the results of the recruitment plan. He added that there was no prior consultation with the provincial council on the matter.

Thus, the province’s plan to launch the new public enterprise on the island within this year is facing setbacks.

이번에도
직권으로 조례안을 상정하지 않을 것으로 알려졌습니다.

이에 따라
시설관리공단을 연내에 출범하겠다는
제주도의 계획은 사실상 어려울 전망입니다.
