More festivals to open in old downtown

Tap-dong and Tamna Culture Plaza in Jeju City are becoming popular venues for cultural and sports activities.

According to the Jeju Municipal Office, 52 events including the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival, (느영나영)Neuyeong Nayeong Olle Performance, and street basketball competitions have been held at Tap-dong and Tamna Culture Plaza.

More festivals such as the Tamna Culture Festival and Kim Man-duk Festival will be held at the venues.

Jeju City is spending some 640 million won every year to maintain the facilities in the two locations.

제주시 탑동과 탐라문화광장이
다양한 문화체육 공간으로 인기를 끌고 있습니다.

제주시에 따르면
올들어 지금까지 탑동과 탐라문화광장에서는
제주국제관악제와 느영나영 올래공연, 길거리 농구대회 등
52건의 문화체육 행사가 열렸습니다.

특히 앞으로도
탐라문화제와 김만덕 나눔 큰잔치 등 제주를 대표하는 행사가
개최될 예정입니다.

한편 제주시는 탑동과 탐라광장 시설물 유지보수에
해마다 6억4천여 만원을 투입하고 있습니다.
