1. Typhoon Tapah pounds in Jeju Island
More than 100 damage cases reported

This year’s 17th Typhoon Tapah has damaged to more than 100 facilities in Jeju Island.

According to the provincial government, there were 58 reported cases of damage to public facilities. These include damages to roads, the wall of an incineration plant at Saekdal-dong and a food waste processing plant at Jeju Saekdal Landfill in Seogwipo City.

47 private facilities, including marina facilities at Kimnyeong Port, leisure boats and solar energy facilities were damaged or lost.

There were also 3,300 cases of power outages. The scale of the typhoon damage is expected to grow after including crop damage.

태풍 '타파' 피해 100건 넘게 접수

제17호 태풍 타파로 인한
제주도내 시설물 피해가 100건을 넘어섰습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
이번 태풍으로
서귀포시 색달매립장 음식물 자원화시설과
남부 광역소각장 외벽이 일부 파손됐고
도로가 유실되는 등
공공시설물 피해 58건이 접수됐습니다.

사유시설로는
김녕항 마리나 시설 파손과
레저보트 침수, 태양광 시설 파손 등 47건이 발생했습니다.

정전 피해도 3천 3백여 건으로,
앞으로 농작물 피해까지 감안하면
피해 규모가 더 커질 것으로 보입니다.
