5. Locally produced opera ‘Lee Jung-seob’ to stage in Seoul
Performance to hold on Oct. 11 & 12

A locally produced opera piece on Korea’s beloved artist Lee Jung-seob will be staged in Seoul.

According to Seogwipo City, the opera "Lee Jung-seob" was selected for its artistic value and popularity to be staged at the Seoul Opera Festival.

The opera will be performed at the Grand Theater of the Gangdong Art Center in Seoul on October 11th and 12th.

It is produced by Seogwipo City and the Provincial Seogwipo Art Company.

The opera piece was produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Lee Jung-seob’s birth in 2016. It is an opera version of the original operetta.

지난 2016년 이중섭 탄생 100주년 기념사업으로
서귀포시와 도립 서귀포예술단이 제작한
창작 오페레타의 오페라 버전입니다.
