3. 837,000 people visit local golf courses for 1st half of 2019
18.3% increase than same period of 2018

In the first half of this year, the number of people using local golf courses increased sharply than last year.

The provincial government said that the number increased by 18.3 percent to 837,000 compared to the same period last year.

Analysts said that active marketing efforts such as offering discounts, holding golf events for Chinese tour groups and selling lifetime memberships contributed to the increase.

The number is expected to continue its growth in the 2nd half of this year as the provincial government decided to cut 75% of consumption tax on membership-based golf courses for 2 years.

올해 상반기 도내 골프장 이용객이
전년보다 큰 폭으로 증가했습니다.

도내 골프장 이용객은 83만 7천 명으로
지난해 같은 기간 보다 18.3% 증가했습니다.

골프장별 할인 상품 개발과,
중국단체 골프대회 개최.
평생회원권 분양 등
적극적인 마케팅이 주효했던 것으로
풀이됩니다.

정부가 도내 골프장 개별소비세를 75% 감면하면서
하반기에도 이용객 증가세가 이어질 전망입니다.
