3. Jeju announces plan to modernize Dodu Sewage treatment plant
Nearly half of construction costs covered by Seoul

The provincial government announced the basic plan for the project to modernize Dodu Sewage Treatment Plant.

The project will increase the plant’s daily capacity from 130,000 tons to 220,000 tons with an investment of 380 billion won through 2025.

It was exempt from Seoul’s preliminary feasibility study and 180 billion won of construction costs will be covered by state funds.

The local government expects the construction to begin as early as mid 2021 after finishing the basic design and environmental impact assessment of the project next year.

도두하수처리장 현대화 기본계획 고시

제주특별자치도가
도두 공공하수처리시설 현대화사업 기본계획을
고시했습니다.

하루 처리용량을 13만톤에서 22만톤으로 늘리고
처리시설을 지하화 하는 공공하수처리장 현대화 사업은
2025년까지 사업비 3천 8백억 원이 투입됩니다.

정부의 예비타당성 조사 면제 사업에 선정됐고,
전체 사업비의 절반인 1천 8백억여 원이
국비로 지원됩니다.

제주도는 내년에 기본설계와 환경영향평가 등을 거친 뒤
빠르면 2021년 중순 공사가 시작될 것으로 예상하고 있습니다.
