2. More local residents request for safety check of buildings
8 people applied for inspections in Jeju City

Islanders are requesting for safety inspections on buildings due to the concerns for cracks or collapses caused by heavy rain and typhoons.

The Jeju Municipal Office received a total of eight requests for safety inspections on grounds and buildings this year. This is double the number of an average year.

Some experts said that continuous rainfall makes grounds weaker

A team of experts will be dispatched to inspect requested sites.

가을철 집중호우와 태풍으로 인해
건물 균열이나 붕괴 위험에 대한 우려가
커지고 있습니다.

제주시에 따르면
올해 접수한 건물 또는 지반
안전점검 요청 민원은 모두 8건으로
평년보다 2배 이상 늘었습니다.

이는 계속되는 비 날씨로 인해
지반이 약해진 데 따른 것으로 보입니다.

제주시는 현장에
전문가로 구성된 안전관리자문단을 투입해
점검을 벌일 예정입니다.
