3. Land Ministry confirms no errors in noise evaluation of 2nd airport
Officials say new airport designed as planned

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport responded to the opinions of the anti-second airport groups regarding the poor analysis made on the noise impact assessment of the new airport. They said that the analysis was in fact carried out with correct and appropriate measures on Tuesday.

The Land Ministry announced that although there were some minor typos, there were no actual errors in the noise evaluation results unlike the groups’ argument of a faulty analysis with reversed noise contours.

Ministry officials added that the routes reviewed in the basic plan of the second airport and the environmental impact assessment have been designed to ensure aircraft safety and noise minimization.

전략환경영향평가에서 검토된 항로는
항공기 운항 안전에 문제가 없고
소음이 최소화되도록 계획됐다고 강조했습니다.
