Reward for reporting wild boar carcass doubled

The province is encouraging wild boar capture to prevent the entry and spread of the African Swine Fever virus.

The office expanded the wildlife pest control team and increased the reward for reporting wild boar carcasses to 2 million won, which is double the national standard.

Wild boars are one of the main carriers of the ASF virus and cause ecological disruption and damage to crops due to their omnivorous diet.

야생 멧돼지 포획을 강화하기로 했습니다.

이를 위해
전문 유해야생동물구제반을 확대하고,
멧돼지 폐사체에 대한 신고보상금을
국가 기준보다 100만원 많은 200만원으로 늘려 지급합니다.

야생 멧돼지는
아프리카 돼지열병의 주요 바이러스 매개체이자
잡식성인 식성 때문에
생태계 교란과
민가에 많은 피해를 주고 있습니다.
