1. Province intensifies fumigation of local pig farms
On-site inspection to be conducted

The provincial government is strengthening quarantine measures against the African Swine Fever.

It intensified the quarantine measures, as officials expect the recent typhoon to have washed away all the disinfectants sprayed at local pig farms and livestock facilities.

Thus, the province will use 55 tons of lime and 16,000 liters of disinfectants to fumigate pig farms and livestock housings.

It will also dispatch 29 vehicles to spray disinfectants on roads and areas near pig farms.

A team of local officials will conduct on-site inspections to check whether pig farms and livestock facilities are following quarantine measures.

태풍 이후 아프리카돼지열병 방역 '강화'

태풍 미탁이 제주를 벗어남에 따라
제주도가 다시 아프리카돼지열병 방역 체계를 강화합니다.

제주도는 태풍이 몰고 온 강한 비바람으로
기존 축산시설과 양돈농가에 살포한
생석회와 소독약 등이 유실됐을 것으로 보고
생석회 55톤, 소독약 1만 6천 리터를 투입해
집중 소독에 나섭니다.

또 방제 차량 29대를 동원해 축산밀집 지역 주변 도로와
양돈농가 주변 등에 대한 소독도 지원합니다.

특히 돼지열병 방역조치 이행점검반을 가동해
축산시설과 농가에서 소독조치를 이행했는지
현장 점검도 병행할 계획입니다.
