Area of land deals drops by 22%

Land market of Jeju City continues to weaken.

According to the Jeju Municipal Office, 23,900 plots of land covering 19.3 million square meters changed hands during the third quarter of this year. This is 28 percent fewer transactions and 22 percent less land compared to the same period last year.

The number of land transactions excluding that of land trusts decreased by 24 percent to 19,300 plots of land covering 15.9 million square meters.

Officials said the decline was caused by consumers taking a wait-and-see attitude and a decline in consumer confidence due to strict loan regulations.

제주시지역 토지거래 감소세가 계속해서 이어지고 있습니다.

제주시에 따르면
올해 3분기까지 토지거래량은
2만3천900 필지, 1천930 여만 제곱미터로
지난해 같은 기간에 비해
필지수는 28%, 면적은 22% 감소했습니다.

신탁을 제외한 토지거래는
1만9천300 필지, 1천590만㎡로 24% 줄었습니다.

제주시는
금융기관 대출규제에 따른 거래심리 위축과
부동산 시장 관망세가 이어지면서
토지거래량이 감소하는 것으로 분석했습니다.
