4. Lawmakers push to limit public enterprise executives’ salaries
Bill limits executive salary to 6-7 times minimum wage

Local lawmakers are pushing to revise an ordinance in order to limit the increase in annual salary for executives of local public enterprises.

Provincial Councilor Ko Eun-sil and 10 other provincial council members proposed a revision bill to address issues regarding the maximum wages for executives of local public enterprises to the provincial council.

The revised bill limits the annual salary of chief directors of local public enterprises and medical centers to seven times the minimum wage and chief of investment related institutions and full-time executives’ salaries to six times the minimum wage.

The ordinance will be presented at the 377th preliminary session after pre-announcement of legislation.

도의회 행정자치위원회에 접수했습니다.

이 조례안은 지방공사 사장과 의료원장의 연봉을
1년치 최저임금의 최대 7배,
출자출연기관장과 상근임원은
최대 6배로 제한하는 것이 주요 내용입니다.

이번 조례안은
입법예고를 거친 뒤
오는 제377회 임시회에서
다뤄질 예정입니다.
