3. “Carnival Attack” case undergoing open investigation
Cheong Wa Dae to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the incident

More than 200,000 people have filed for the investigation of the incident involving a Carnival mini-van, infamously dubbed the “Carnival Attack”. The petition calls for a thorough investigation into an attack involving a physical assault by a man driving a Kia Carnival. Cheong Wa Dae has announced that it will continue to check if the case is being investigated to meet the opinions of the public's eye.

Kang Jung-soo, head of the Digital Communication Center at Cheong Wa Dae, said he has asked a professional agency if the incident was a violation of the Child Welfare Law for emotional abuse, to determine further damage to the children who were in the back seat of the victim's vehicle.

The government will also continue to investigate other aspects of the case, including the violation of the Road Traffic Act for the illegal lane change.
