5. Over 10,000 people apply for 4·3 incident certification
Eligible registrants can receive financial discounts, exemptions

There is an increasing number of registrants for the victims and bereaved families certificates of the April 3rd Incident.

According to the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the number of applications for the certificates has exceeded 10,000 so far.

Citizens aged in their 70s had the largest number of applications with 2,700, followed by those in their 40s and 50s, and the applications of those under 10 years of age reached 1,000.

By region, Jeju City accounts for 62 percent of the total applications, with 21 percent from Seogwipo City and 17 percent from outlying residents.

The victim or bereaved family certificates can receive discounts or exemptions on airfare as well as public parking lots and admission fees to various establishments on the island.

제주특별자치도에 따르면
지금까지 접수된 희생자와 유족증은 1만건을 넘어서고 있습니다.

연령대별로 보면
70대가 2천 700여건으로 가장 많고
다음으로
40대, 50대 순을 보이고 있으며
10대 미만도 1천여건에 이르고 있습니다.

지역별로는
제주시가 전체의 62%를 차지하고 있고
서귀포시 21%,
도외 거주자 17% 등입니다.

희생자 또는 유족증은
항공료 감면은 물론
공영주차장이나 각종 입장료의 할인 또는 면제 혜택을 받을 수 있습니다.
