4. Updated hiking hours on Hallasan
Officials advise trekkers to prepare well before hiking

The Hallasan National Park Office has changed climbing times on Hallasan Mountain.

Hikers will have until noon to enter the Eorimok and Youngsil trail. Those entering Witse Oreum will have to start 30 minutes earlier by 1 p.m.

The cutoff times for leaving the Azalea Field Shelter on the Seongpanak Trail has also been shortened half an hour to 12 p.m..

All of the changes will be in effect from next month through next February.

The office is advising people to check the weather forecast and prepare proper clothing and equipment before hiking.

다음달부터 한라산 탐방시간 단축

다음달부터 한라산국립공원 탐방시간이 단축됩니다.

한라산국립공원관리소는 다음달부터 내년 2월까지
어리목코스와 영실코스의 경우
통제소 입산 시간을
현재 오후 2시에서 낮 12시로 조정합니다.

또 윗세오름 통제소는 오후 1시 30분에서 1시로,
성판악코스의 진달래밭 대피소는
낮 12시 30분에서 12시로 단축합니다.

국립공원관리소는
특히 성판악이나 관음사 등 장거리 탐방로의 경우
반드시 기상 변화를 확인하고
복장과 장비를 꼼꼼히 챙길 것을 당부하고 있습니다.
