5. MoE to expand regular admissions to more than 30%
Education Minister pushes for fair college entrance system

Admissions based on College Scholastic Ability Test scores are expected to increase to more than 30 percent from the coming 2022 school year. This change will be applied to current first-year high school students.

Prime Minister and Minister of Education Yu Eun-hye revealed the following plan in accordance with president Moon Jae-in's speech at the National Assembly regarding the increase in the regular admissions on the 22nd.

However, she added that the expansion of regular admissions will be focused on universities in Seoul, which currently have a high percentage of students admitted through early decision.

The Ministry will announce plans to enhance fairness in the college entrance system, including the expansion of regular admissions, in next month.

다만 정시 확대는
현재 수시모집 학생부 종합전형 비율이 높은
서울 소재 대학들을 중심으로 이뤄질 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.

또 다음달 중 정시 확대를 포함한
대입 제도 공정성 강화 방안을 발표할 계획입니다
