1. Tamna Culture Plaza in need of proper management
JRI’s study found lack of function and content

The Jeju Research Institute proposed to operate a dedicated organization for Tamna Culture Plaza, which has not been playing its roles properly despite an investment of 50 billion won was spent for its construction.

The Institute interviewed experts of vitalization schemes for commercial facilities in old downtown areas and culture planners as part of a study to find ways to vitalize the plaza. The study found that the plaza and park lacks functions and systematic management.

It was also pointed out that there are not many things to see and enjoy at the venue.

Thus, the institute proposed to set up a team and appoint a team leader to support and manage the plaza.

제주연구원, "탐라문화광장 운영 전담조직 필요"

500억 원 넘는 예산을 들여 준공했지만
제 기능을 못하고 있는 탐라문화광장에 대해
전담 조직을 운영하자는 제안이 나왔습니다.

제주연구원은
탐라문화광장 활성화 방안 연구를 통해
원도심 상가와 문화기획자 등 분야별 전문가를 면접조사한 결과,

광장과 공원의 기능이 부족하고
체계적인 관리가 미흡한 문제점이 도출됐다고 밝혔습니다.

또 이용객 편익시설을 비롯해 볼거리, 즐길거리 등
콘텐츠가 부족한 것으로 지적됐습니다.

이에따라 제주연구원은
탐라문화광장을 전담할 중간지원조직을 운영해
총괄 기획자를 선정하고
시설과 운영관리를 맡겨야 한다고 제언했습니다.
