2. Province takes procedures to cancel investment promotion zone
Booyoung Land construction delayed since 2013

The province is in the process of lifting the investment promotion zone designation of Booyoung Land in Jungmun Tourist Complex. Booyoung Group has been delaying the project ever since it received approval from the provincial government in 2013.

Local officials conducted an on-site inspection at the planned construction site and decided to take administrative steps which binds the developer to take certain required measures within six months to maintain its approval status of the investment promotion zone designation.

The period may be extended for another six months; however, the provincial government can lift the designation if the developer fails to comply to required procedures within the set deadline.

Meanwhile, the Booyoung Land project was designated as an investment promotion zone in March 2013 to construct a water park, a horse-riding track and recreation leisure facilities on 167,000 square meters of land at Jungmun Tourist Complex.

제주특별자치도가
장기간 사업 착공이 이뤄지지 않은
중문관광단지 부영랜드 조성사업에 대해
투자진흥지구 해제 절차에 들어갔습니다.

이를 위해 부영랜드 조성사업에 대한 현장점검을 거쳐
투자진흥지구 지정 해제 절차의 첫 단계인
'회복 명령'을 내렸다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 회복명령 기간 내에
지정 기준 이행절차를 진행하지 않으면
투자지정지구 지정을 해제한다는 방침입니다.

회복 명령은 투자진흥지구 지정 기준을
6개월 내에 이행하도록 하는 행정 조치로 6개월 연장이 가능합니다.

한편 부영랜드 조성사업은
중문관광단지 16만7천여 제곱미터 부지에
워터파크와 승마장,
휴양시설 등을 조성하는 사업으로
지난 2013년 3월 투자진흥지구로 지정받았습니다.
