Two organizations to step up efforts to prevent corruption

The province and the Jeju District Prosecutors' Office signed an integrity agreement at the provincial government building on Thursday.

Under the agreement, the two government bodies will step up efforts to prevent corruption, bribery and extortion. They will also cooperate and provide support for activities that promote integrity and monitor against corruption.

In particular, the local prosecution will also join an anti-corruption council, which consists of 28 local organizations, to draw islander’s participation in the anti-corruption policy.

제주도와 제주지방검찰청이
7일 제주도청에서
공정한 제주사회를 실현하는 내용의
청렴업무 협약을 체결했습니다.

이번 협약을 통해 두 기관은
청렴활동에 필요한 지원과 협력을 비롯해
부정청탁이나 금품 수수, 갑질 같은
반부패 노력을 강화하기로 했습니다.

특히 검찰은
도내 28개 기관.단체로 구성된
제주도 청렴사회 민관협의회에도 가입해
부패방지 정책에 대한 주민참여를 이끌어낼 방침입니다.
