4. Water at local streams tests clean
Streams found with ‘zero’ ecotoxicity

Water quality of all major local streams were found to be in good condition.

All 12 major local streams surveyed by the Jeju Public Health and Environment Research institute scored top marks in 6 categories, including biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and suspended solid.

In particular, ecotoxicity value of all streams were zero, indicating the ecosystem of local streams as healthy.

However, five streams including Donghong cheon, Sanjicheon and Ongpocheon streams scored grade 2 for phosphorus levels.

모두 양호한 것으로 조사됐습니다.

제주도 보건환경연구원이
도내 주요 12개 하천 수질을 조사한 결과
생물화학적 산소요구량과 부유물질 등 6개 항목에서
1등급 상태를 유지했습니다.

특히 생태독성 값이 모든 하천에서 '0'으로 조사돼
건강한 생태계를 유지하는 것으로 확인됐습니다.

다만 '인 함량' 항목은
동홍천과 산지천, 옹포천 등 5곳이 2등급으로 평가됐습니다.
