3. National Assembly increases April 3rd Incident related budget
Seoul to inject ?\300M to construct 4·3 multi-complex center

The National Assembly Standing Committee increased next year's budget for April 3rd Incident related projects during its deliberation held yesterday.

Lawmaker Kang Chang-il said the National Assembly’s Public Administration and Security Committee approved next year’s budget plan to increase funds for April 3rd Incident related projects by 5.2 billion won.

The committee decided to inject 300 million won to construct the April 3rd Incident multi-complex center, 1 billion won to maintain April 3rd historic sites and 4 billion won to support the operations of the April 3rd Peace Foundation.

In addition, road construction project in Daejeong-eup gained momentum after the committee increased the budget for developing areas surrounding the United States Force Korea base by 800 million won. Also, an additional 1.1 billion won will be injected to install medical equipment on local police helicopters.

내년 4·3 관련 예산이 국회 상임위원회 심의에서 증액됐습니다.

제주시 갑 강창일 국회의원은
국회 행정안전위원회 소관 내년 예산안을 의결하면서
제주관련 예산 52억원을 증액했다고
밝혔습니다.

특히 전액 삭감됐던 4·3 복합센터 설치에 3억원이
신규반영됐고
4·3 유적지 정비 10억 5천만원,
4·3 평화재단 출연금은 40억원으로 증액했습니다.

또 주한미군공여 주변지역 사업 예산 8억원이 늘어
대정읍 도시계획도로 건설에 탄력을 받게 됐으며
제주경찰헬기에
의료장비 장착을 위한 운영비 11억원을 증액했습니다.
