Local prosecutor’s office indicts center director

The director of a meditation center in Jeju City was indicted for leaving a dead body unattended for over a month at the center.

The Jeju District Prosecutors' Office convicted the 58-year-old director surnamed Hong for allegedly disposing and concealing the body.

Hong is accused of not taking any action when the 58-year-old man surnamed Kim lost consciousness while meditating, thus leading to his death at the meditation center on September 1st.

Local prosecutors are also investigating five employees of the center.

'시신 한달 넘게 방치'…명상원 원장 구속기소

제주시내 한 명상원에서
50대 남성이 숨진 채 발견된 사건과 관련해
해당 명상원 원장이 재판에 넘겨졌습니다.

제주지방검찰청은
사체 유기치사와 사체은닉 혐의로
제주시내 모 명상수련원 원장
58살 홍 모 씨를 구속 기소했습니다.

홍 씨는
지난 9월 1일 해당 명상원에서
58살 김 모 씨가 명상을 하던 도중 의식을 잃었는데도
조치를 취하지 않고 김 씨 를 사망에 이르게 한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

또 검찰은 사건과 관련해
해당 명상원 관계자 5명에 대해
보강 수사를 벌이고 있습니다.
