3. Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters open Ara-dong station
Center can dispatch 3 fire trucks and 28 emergency personnel

The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters officially launched a new fire station in Ara-dong, Jeju City yesterday.

The fire station in Ara-dong is three floors high and has a total floor space of 990 square meters. Three fire trucks and 28 firefighters are stationed at the center. The station will be in charge of emergency situations in Aradong and Bonggae-dong.

Local residents have been requesting for a fire station in the area since 2014 due to increasing need for emergency assistance as the area’s population increased by more than 20,000 people over the past 10 years.

아라 119센터 개소식을 열고 본격적인 업무를 시작했습니다.

아라 119센터는
지상 3층, 연면적 990제곱미터 규모로 신축됐으며
소방차량 3대와 소방공무원 28명이 배치돼
아라동과 봉개동 일부지역을 관할하게 됩니다.

아라119센터 신설은
최근 10년 사이 2만 명 넘게 들어나는 등
소방수요가 급증함에 따라 지난 2014년부터
지역주민들이 요청해왔습니다.
