4. Seogwipo City wins 2nd place for innovative waste disposal system
Local residents give positive responses for high convenience

Seogwipo City was awarded second place among 104 regions by the Ministry of Interior and Safety for its innovative waste disposal system.

Seogwipo City’s innovative household waste disposal system consists of six special measures, including an automated compensation system for the collection of cans and pet bottles and refundable deposit for empty bottles, implemented at local recycling help centers.

The system has received high marks for its convenience by local residents.
