Number of illegal immigrants triples over 1 year

A large number of illegal immigrants and brokers and employers involved in hiring illegal immigrants were arrested.

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency arrested 312 offenders and prosecuted five of them during its crackdown over the past three months from August.

In particular, a total of 270 illegal immigrants were arrested during the crackdown, which is more than three times the number of arrests made during the same period last year.

All arrested illegal immigrants during the crackdown has been deported.

불법체류자는 물론
이들의 취업을 알선하거나 고용한 업주들이 무더기로 적발됐습니다.

제주지방경찰청은
지난 8월부터 3개월 동안
불법체류자와
이들의 고용 또는 알선책에 대한 단속을 벌여
312명을 검거하고
이 가운데 5명을 구속했다고 밝혔습니다.

특히 불법체류자만 봤을 때
이번에 검거된 인원은 270여명으로
지난해 같은기간의 80명 보다 3배 이상 늘었습니다.

경찰은 이번에 검거한
불법체류자에 대해서는 전원 강제 출국조치했습니다.
