1. National Assembly passes revision bill of Jeju Special Act
Bill to extend operating term of province supporting committee

The sixth revision bill to the Jeju Special Act was passed yesterday at the National Assembly’s regular session.

The bill has been adrift for two years ever since December 2017 when the National Assembly approved to review the proposal.

The bill will extend the operation term of the committee that supports the provincial government to June 2021.

In addition, the bill stipulates that the province must notify the investment amount, implementation period and employment plan when it designates an investment promotion zone. Also, all local rental cars will be required to install speed limiting devices.

국무회의에서 정부안이 의결돼
국회 심의가 시작된 후 2년만의 결과입니다.

주요내용을 보면
제주특별자치도 지원위원회의 존속기한을
오는 2021년 6월까지 연장하기로 했습니다.

또 투자진흥지구를 지정고시할 경우
투자금액과 이행기간,
고용계획 등을 고시하도록 명시했고
렌터카에 최고속도 제한장치를 설치할 수 있도록 했습니다.
