Officials prepare measures to clear snow from roads

The province is preparing measures to clear snow from roads during the snowy winter season.

Local officials have been checking and repairing snow removal equipment such as snow blowers from last month. They plan to finish purchasing materials and installing sandbags and designated areas around the island by the end of this month.

In order to prevent roads in cities and near the airport from freezing, the provincial government will lease four dump trucks and station them at the eastern and western parts of the island. Officials will also test run automated facilities that spray saline water.

The local government will operate an integrated situation room for snow removal to minimize road discomfort caused by heavy snow from December through March of next year.

민간장비 덤프트럭 4대를 임대해
동부와 서부지역에 각각 배치할 계획입니다.

다음달부터 내년 3월까지
제설대책 통합 상황실을 운영해
폭설로 인한 도로 불편을 최소화한다는 방침입니다.
